Symbol of calm and happiness, Marjoram gives a distinctly aromatic note to our infusion, favoring digestion.
Choose sticks with healthy-looking leaves, better if they have just bloomed.
If sweetened with malt or agave, it can help fight all the symptoms of colds, cure fever naturally and relieve coughing because it has expectorant properties.
Smooth Majorana infusion (not sweetened in any way) is recommended for gastro-intestinal disorders.
An unsweetened herbal tea of Marjoram, before going to sleep, can help fight insomnia, anxiety, headache and soothe tensions accumulated during the day.
How can you prepare a Marjoram herbal tea?
- Bring to a boil 500 ml of water, possibly in a cast iron teapot.
- After turning off the heat, wait a few minutes before soaking the washed leaves possibly without the sticks: the boiling temperature of the water (100°) would destroy its precious active ingredients.
- Immediately after pouring Marjoram into boiling water, cover with a saucer or lid to avoid evaporation of essential oils. It sounds like a joke but details are iimportant when preparing an infusion!
- Wait another 4 minutes and 30 seconds and voilà, your Marjoram herbal tea will be ready!
